So the people rested on the seventh day.
I didn't think of a transmission as a means of rest.
But it has become so.
Our brand new transmission in our big ol' van bit the dust mid-week after a long road trip for a wedding.
And so we are waiting for repairs.
This week's activities and commitments are being rescheduled, rearranged and rethought.
And we are sitting, taking a pause, making some reflections.
An unintended vacation in the midst of a very busy season.
A surprise Sabbath.
And I find that it is already rejuvenating and refreshing, a respite unexpected.
There are those Selahs we choose and schedule for.
And then there are the ones that are conferred upon us by cranky transmissions.
And the Lord uses them all.
